finding the epic in everyday life

Dan Steadman grew up in Michigan, producing his first public access TV show as a teenager. He made the move to Los Angeles in his late 20s and worked on "Whoopi," "That 70s Show" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" before co-writing and co-producing TV pilots with Sean Hayes, Melissa McCarthy, Tony Hale and Octavia Spencer and the feature film "Jesus People," a mockumentary that was well received by the L.A. Times & The Village Voice and had a long run on Netflix, Hulu, and Tubi.

Dan worked as a casting director in L.A. for NBC, FOX, Paramount, Animal Planet, E!, Logo, and VH-1 for shows like "Scream Queens" and "Trading Spouses" and "Petfinder."
He and his writing partner Rajeev Sigamoney were repped as screenwriters by Endeavor LA and then by Jack Leighton at APA. They wrote an episode of Yin Yang Yo! for the Disney Channel in 2006 before selling and executive-producing "The Mascots" for Endemol USA, a 10-episode series about corporate mascots living in a world with humans.

After a decade in California, Steadman began writing and directing films across the country, eventually landing in St. Louis with his movie "Belleville" which played in 13 theaters in 4 states through Wehrenberg Theatres. He wrote and directed 12 additional feature films in St. Louis with the acting class he developed and taught.

His films on Amazon Prime include the St. Louis-filmed movies "The Older Woman and the Younger Man," "The Unattainably Perfect Gay Christmas," and "The Hallmark of a Real American Family Christmas."
